Mel Rosenberg dreamed of being in the movies, but it took him 63 years for the dream to come true. He was born in Winnipeg, Canada on November 12th, 1951, moved to Ottawa when he was two. There he grew up. He played Colonel Amos in high school in the play "After All I Did for Israel". This whetted his appetite for acting.
