Ben Hills was born in Smithtown, New York (Long Island) to parents Gary Hills (engineer) and Ria (Wijsbeek) Hills (artist), who was born in the Netherlands. At the age of 7 Ben moved to Hopedale, Massachusetts, then at age 10 to Uxbridge, MA.
