Samantha Brown-Parks，Born in Florida to Roy and Sandra Brown, Sam was raised on a farm in the rural town of Wauchula. She performed in local theater and church as a child, but decided to pursue a medical career while studying urban planning at the University of Florida. She was accepted to medical school at the University of Miami at the age of 19.
