D.J. Williams was born on March 25, 1868 in Ruthin, Denbighshire, Wales as David John Williams. He was an actor and director, known for Maria Marten, or The Murder in the Red Barn (1935), Elephant Boy (1937) and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (1936). He died on July 26, 1949 in Bushey, Hertfordshire, England.
