Pierre Chemaly，His interest in the photo-arts came from his grandmother, who was a musician and a photographer. After high-school,he studied engineering at college. Then joined the navy and went into the photo/film unit and did an apprenticeship there. He completed the service as an Able Seaman with a trade certificate in photography.
