Widespread Panic: Wood Tour: Denver, CO The Fillmore February 11, 2012

Widespread Panic has always made Colorado their home away from home. With their all-acoustic Wood Tour the band crafted an intimate living room-like performance on this Saturday night at The Fillmore in Denver. Under The Fillmore's purple chandeliers, the band deliver two sets of magical playing. The first set closes with Howlin' Wolf's blues classic Tail Dragger and a barrelhouse version of Tall Boy. For the second set the band delivers a powerhouse from start to finish with warhorses such as C.Brown, Mercy, Jack, Driving Song, Papa's Home and Ribs and Whiskey reworked for the acoustic format. The band wouldn't let the crowd leave without an epic encore that mixed classics from Van Morrison and Neil Young with their first ever performance of the Roger Miller hit Dang Me.
