After facing a possible heart attack, comic book illustrating bartender Darren re-examines his life and recollects how his previous relationship fell apart. He, along with musicians Jack and Aaron - who seem to think that coming up with an appropriate band name trumps the need for an actual drummer - struggle to reconcile their personal lives with their artistic ambitions.
