On November 15, 2003, migrant workers who were against the forced crackdown and the Employment Permit System had staged a sit-in. During the occasion, multinational migrant workers formed a band named ‘Stop Crackdown’. The band made their slogan into songs for migrant workers to sing along, and gave performances to overcome the situation. After the strike, Stop Crackdown released its 2nd album and continued performances and activities involving not only events for migrant workers but also others. The band, however, faced a crisis when Minu, the lead singer who was not legally registered, was arrested on October 8, 2009.
