Exile to the Far West

Canada, Iqaluit. On a rocky island, not far from the Arctic Circle, they landed in a similar momentum: leaving to try to start over. The Far North was first an exit route, then it became a difficult place to leave. Here, lives are fallow. Regardless of their previous lives, they are now taxi drivers in this remote Arctic city. Alone at the wheel of their car, they literally drive around in circles, day and night. A perpetual Tetris on what is called the ring road: an asphalt loop of about ten kilometres. Even if the working hours are long and redundant, they have plenty of time to think about the life that awaits them in the south of the country.
